Dear friends of the Berlin Open,
we hope you survived the difficult time well and we would like to thank you again for your understanding that we cancelled the Berlin Open 2020 at such short notice.

Many of you have thanked us in the past years for a beautiful, fantastic event and all of you have made the Berlin Open with your participation and your commitment to make the Berlin Open exactly this family-hearted and special event. 

For us, however, the continued existence of our club and therefore the organisation of the Berlin Open next year is not yet secured and for us it would be unimaginable to remove this event from the calendar of the WCDF.

To prevent this, to get through the year and to start planning the Berlin Open 2021, we need your support.

Every Euro from you would help us to secure the continuation of the Berlin Open! A small amount from individuals and the cohesion of a community can make a big difference, as you know.

A few details about the background: When we founded the association, we decided that we would always keep a financial buffer so that we could cover the running costs (warehouse, tax consultant and much more) and also the invoices to be paid in advance for the next event (e.g. cups, marketing, hall rent, parquet). Due to the cancellation of the Berlin Open 2020 at very short notice, we have no more reserves. The expenses we had in the run-up to the event, which we would actually have refinanced with the event's income, have used up our reserves.
